Thermoplastics are by nature more ductile (impact resistant), and thermoplastic composites are potentially more sustainable than thermoset composites. These unique properties can result in shorter cycle times and more environmentally friendly processing methods. As a result, thermoplastic materials are expected to have a major impact on the development of sustainable and cost-effective methods of production.Our offerWe offer you a position for four years. Gross monthly salary for a PhD ranges from € 2042.-gross per month in the first year up to € 2612.- in the fourth year. In addition to this we offer a holiday allowance (amounts to 8% of your annual income, an an end of year bonus (amounts to 8.3% of your annual income) and other fringe benifits.Your profileYou are a highly motivated student with a master degree in a technical discipline, preferably in mechanical / aerospace engineering or in applied physics. You are fluent in English. Preferrably you have proven ability in this field of expertise, and in numerical modelling.Apply here
